About Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nazrul Islam
Lifetime Cardiology Pioneer
Professor Mohammad Nazrul Islam is one of the pioneers of modern cardiology in Bangladesh. With over five decades of clinical service, academic leadership, and national healthcare reform, he has shaped cardiovascular medicine through teaching, research, and institution building.
Former Director of the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases and UGC Professor at BSMMU, he continues to guide medical education as Chairman of the Bangladesh Medical Education Accreditation Council.
